Hidden Falls is a wonderful attraction near Mississippi River. It is a 29 ft. high cascade along Deadman Creek, located in Hidden Falls Regional Park of Auburn CA. The Hidden Falls Regional Park is a 221-acre open space park & was opened to the public on October 30, 2006. Apart from trails, visitors can also enjoy picnicking, fishing, photography, wildlife viewing, and numerous other passive recreational pursuits in this park.
The main attraction of the park is Hidden Falls, consisting of numerous species like: Northern Pike, Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Crappie, Catfish, Smallmouth Bass, White Bass, Walleye, Carp, and more.
Although Hidden Falls offer many leisure activities to enjoy, the main attraction remains hiking, as trail to Hidden Falls is very easy to hike. It starts from the parking area and takes you to your desired spot that is Hidden Falls. The trail root to Hidden Falls is quite easy, offering great chance of photography and witnessing the unparalleled natural beauty.
Best Time to Visit: Hidden Falls is a quite cascade & hence best time to visit is in the winter months when the creek’s flow is higher.
How to Reach: From I-80 at Auburn, take Hwy 49 north for 2.7 miles to Atwood Dr. Turn left and drive 1.7 miles to Mt. Vernon Rd. Continue straight on Mt. Vernon Rd. for 2.7 miles to Mears Drive. Turn right for 0.5 miles to Mears Place. Turn right and drive 0.5 miles to the park.
