The Herbert Hoover National Historic Site is one of the most popular historic spots in the U.S state of Iowa, featuring  buildings and grounds in West Branch of the state that are preserved by the National Park Service to commemorate the life of the 31st President of the United States.

The Herbert Hoover National Historic Site is also well known as Herbert Hoover Birthplace, since it houses a cottage, where Hoover was born in 1874. Besides, this national historic site also houses a blacksmith shop similar to the one owned by his father, the first West Branch schoolhouse, and the Quaker meetinghouse, where the Hoover family worshipped.

The other major attractions that you can check out in Herbert Hoover National Historic Site are Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum, the gravesites of Hoover and his wife and an 81-acre tallgrass prairie.
