Kentucky Derby Museum in Louisville, Kentucky
The Kentucky Derby Museum is very interesting and fantastic place to mark your visit while you are at your trip to Louisville. Opened in the spring of 1984, the museum is dedicated to the tradition and excitement of the “greatest two minutes in sports”. The Kentucky Derby Museums mission is to provide visitors with a lasting impression of the tradition, history and pride associated with the race.
The second exhibit showcases the Derby Winners, Jockey's, Trainers and Owners. The third exhibit area is devoted to The Jockey's and The Backside. The museum is one of the most popular attractions in Louisville Kentucky which offers attractions like a live thoroughbred and miniature horse, breakfast tours; a behind-the-scenes guided excursion and the “Horses and Haunts” tour, a nighttime visit with stories of legends and lore. With such exciting and entertaining tours and attractions the museum draws more than 200,000 guests each year.
